Born in Saint-Petersburg, I started drawing as a child. In 1999 undertook the direction of illustration while attending the Academy of Fine Arts of Saint Petersburg in Russia, where I was born and grew up.
To communicate with children, to educate them through art is my greatest ambition. In editorial illustrations I try to tell the younger generation the eternal values of peace, love, compassion, ecology and world culture, through my use of color, clean line work, immediate and a clear concept.
Looking for my artistic identity, I have been influenced by the great Russian masters including A. Bilibin, A. Benoit & Leon Bakst. Between 19th and 20th century in Russia took place the great return of the traditional fairy tale. Born in 1980, I grew up with this work.
In 2005 I moved to Italy to finish my course of study. Here I have been strongly influenced by the works of great artists of the Italian and American comics and illustration: Lorenzo Mattotti, Sergio Toppi, Gipi & Gianluigi Toccafondo, Brad Holland to name a few. I consider myself lucky to be able to make my passion my profession.
